Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Centre) lawmaker Madhav Sapkota has demanded that all the three parties should discuss the profit and loss scandal of the Electricity Authority of Nepal (NEA). He made the demand while speaking at a meeting of the Infrastructure Development Committee on Wednesday.
He said that one audit was conducted when Kulman Ghising was the managing director of NEA and now another audit was conducted after hitendra Dev Shakya came. He demanded that the committee should be called along with the MD, former MD and Auditor General of the Electricity Authority to discuss the matter.
Stating that it was necessary for the opposition to discuss and clarify to protect Kulman and also to put an end to the digging of the treasury by the ruling party, he said action should be taken as per the law if Kulman is found guilty.
He said, “Yesterday, when Kulmanji was there, the audit system was one, now you have taken it through another dit system. That’s what i have to say. According to the Minister, if necessary, the Auditor General should also be pulled out along with the MD of the Electricity Authority. Let’s remove the incumbent MD of the Electricity Authority. Let’s scold Kulmanji. Let’s bring the Accountant General. First of all, let us understand in a transparent manner. Let us stop protecting the opposition and the ruling party chasing us. Let’s make a decision by listening to everyone without delay. If Kulmanji is at fault, then the law of Nepal does not leave anyone. ’
He said that if you do good and bad, you should say bad.
