Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Center) MP Devendra Poudel has drawn the government’s attention to facilitating the construction of a cable car in Mukumlung, Taplejung. Speaking in the House of Representatives meeting on Friday, MP Poudel also asked the government where the talks on the construction of the Pathibhara cable car have reached.
He said that the path of repression chosen by the government during the construction of the cable car was wrong. He also requested that the development work be facilitated by adopting the method of negotiations, agreements and consensus, while preserving the culture and traditions of Mukumlung.
He said that the private sector has been doing the work that the government has not been able to do, and that there is a need for more investment in sectors such as energy, tourism and agriculture. He also said that it is the responsibility of the state to encourage the private sector. He said that cooperation and unity between the private sector and the government are necessary in development work.
