Kathmandu. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that he will not resign under any circumstances. Speaking on the issue of visit visa in the House of Representatives, Minister Lekhak said that there was no need to resign as more people had gone on visit visa during other ministers than during his tenure.
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak claimed that he had no involvement in the visit visa case and could not be. He objected to the attempt to carry out political attacks against him in a planned and conspiratorial manner. He said there was no truth in the issues that have surfaced on social media and media linking him. Minister Lekhak said that he would cooperate with the investigation being carried out by the CIAA and was ready to appear if necessary. He also argued that it was unfair for the minister to resign if the employees were added.
He said, “There is no truth in the opinion expressed in the publicity society and social media that I am involved in the investigation of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority.” I would like to inform the honourable House that I am not involved in this work.
Attempts have been made to attack me in a planned, conspiratorial and political way. Which I would like to express regret from this august House. And I would like to urge my colleagues to link the matter being investigated by the constitutional body with any minister or link it to the government and respond to how many ministers responded yesterday. Do you have the strength of it?”
Minister Lekhak expressed his views in the meeting amid protests and sloganeering by the RASTRIYA Prajatantra Party (RPP) and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). Although the Maoists are ready to end the deadlock in parliament, the RASTRP and RPP are still not in agreement. They have maintained that a parliamentary inquiry committee should be formed to investigate the visit visa case. The Speaker moved the house forward amid protests from the two parties.
