Kathmandu. Mahalaxmi Bikas Bank has conducted financial literacy, rally and awareness programs on the occasion of ‘Global Money Week 2025’. The bank celebrated Global Money Week 2025 from Chaitra 4 to Chaitra 10 on a week-long basis.
On that occasion, the bank identified various target groups who were out of financial reach and conducted financial literacy, rallies and awareness programs through various branches and provincial offices of the bank in all seven provinces of the country.
Under this week-long campaign, various provincial offices of the bank including Gangabu, Dhangadhi, Chandranigapur, Damauli, Itahari, Janakpur, Birgunj, Damak, Tikapur, Mahendranagar, Butwal, Lakeside Pokhara, Central Office and other provincial offices conducted financial literacy programs and morning walk programs to enhance financial literacy among students and youth and develop financial knowledge, skills and attitudes. The bank has stated that it has done so.
More than 1,200 people have participated in the programs held across the country and information has been provided on topics related to savings, loans, investments, clean notes, electronic financial services, remittances, grievance redressal, financial service providers, securities markets, risk management, insurance, financial fraud and financial discipline.
In addition, various awareness-raising information has been posted and video materials have been broadcast through the official social media channels of this bank. The bank is confident that this work will help raise awareness about the importance of financial education among teenagers and young men and women.
The bank has recently launched ‘Mahalaxmi Smart Sathi’ by refining its mobile application in line with the bank’s policy of providing cutting-edge, secure and easy digital banking facilities to its customers.
