Kathmandu. CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has targeted former King Gyanendra Shah and urged him to win the hearts of the people if he wants to run the country. He made the request while addressing a program organized on the occasion of Republic Day at the party’s central office Aloknagar on Thursday.
Stating that the alternative to republic is a prosperous republic, he argued that monarchy cannot be an alternative to republic. He said that there is talk about monarchy now and they do not want the rule of dynasty.
He challenged him to become the Prime Minister through competition by coming to the electoral field if he wanted to run the country. He said that it is not possible to push the wheel of history back by taking the country in a regressive direction.
Chairman Nepal said, “The alternative to republic is a prosperous republic. Monarchy is not an alternative to democracy. There is talk about monarchy. If there is no father, then if there is no son, then on what day the grandson and grandson will give birth to the grandson, it will be given to the father who is being born. Therefore, we do not need the rule of such a dynasty. If anyone is worried about running the country, then he will come as the Prime Minister. ‘
“They are in the electoral fray. People’s hearts and trust will be won. We challenge on the field of competition. We had to dare to move forward by winning the hearts and trust of the people through competition. It is not possible to push the wheel of history back by taking the country in a regressive direction. We won’t let it be possible. Even yesterday, our party played a leading role for the republic. Others did not have that courage,” he said.
Claiming that this change has come in accordance with the wishes of the common people, Chairman Nepal said that there is a need to institutionalize and strengthen the change.
