Kathmandu. ‘The backbone of this club is the employees here. Without them, we would not be able to stand before you like this today. Their hard work and enthusiasm have made us successful in standing before you,’ said Bhupen Kunwar, director of LOD Club.

Every guest who comes to the club every day is a part of our good fortune. He used to think about how we could send the guests who come here not disappointed but happy. Thamel is a dream street for many Nepalis. Where not everyone can easily reach. They only reach it on special occasions.

Why does anyone come to Thamel? This question haunted him for a long time. Everyone has their own experiences about Thamel, nightlife or life. Let’s say everyone has bittersweet experiences. How much experience and stress do people have? The stories of all three stresses had also covered Bhupen.

And he thought – the only reason for coming to Thamel was to forget the pain of the heart. On Monday evening, the LOD Club in Thamel celebrated the occasion of becoming the 44th best in the world. Where he was explaining why someone comes to Thamel and why they go to LOD. He said that LOD has already spent 6 years in this place.

‘We are trying to create a melodious environment by providing our guests with the joy of music and various types of entertainment,’ said Kunwar. ‘For guests who have moved away from us and guests who have never come Our job is to bring it here.’

The club’s first priority is to bring back guests who have already come. The club’s disciplined environment and the hospitality and welcome of the staff have become the first jewel. It is the club’s responsibility to keep the soft-spoken staff and guests safe.

DJ music has attracted music lovers with fun. Who can sit here and enjoy eating. According to him, there are more than 150 employees in the club. The backbone of this club is the staff. Kunwar says that the continuous hard work of the employees has brought the club to this point.

‘We look at all the guests who come here with the same eyes. We send them away with respect and hope that the hospitality here will make them come back again. We are not far from Nepali society,’ he mentioned. ‘We are also citizens of this society. No one should be negative towards us. We have done an honest business. We have fulfilled our obligation to the state on our part.’

Kunwar said that there are many challenges in the night business. ‘There are ups and downs in the business, and entrepreneurs should take this as a learning experience and an opportunity to become stronger,’ he shared his experience. He complained that there has been no positive perception of the club in our country or in Nepali society. He expressed his regret that there is a perception that people who go to clubs are spoiled and bring about a distortion.

Director Kunwar claimed that LOD Club has been able to break the perception of clubs to some extent. He understands that we live in a society where going to clubs is considered bad.

He expressed the view that if the thoughts and intentions are good, good will happen anywhere. ‘If the intentions are bad, then who cares? Today I claim that the atmosphere of coming to clubs with family will be no different from what LOD created,’ he added. ‘You can come here with your family and dance happily and be entertained. Now LOD has started to be prioritized in the first list of domestic and foreign guests coming to Kathmandu. This has become a matter of pride for the country. .’

He recounts the past when domestic tourists were hesitant to come here because Thamel is a tourist area. The message of inflation and corruption went out from here. He proudly said that we were able to give a good message because we did a decent business instead of corruption.

He understands that it is not a big deal to come into business, but how to stay where you are after coming is important. Kunwar says, ‘Many leaves have fallen in our business life and many have sprouted. But we have not stopped doing our work. Perhaps it seems that the continuity of our work has brought us together. The media has given us great support.’

According to Kunwar, the club has always been committed to social justice. Giving equal importance to gender equality, there are equal numbers of female and male employees. He said that he has always upheld the constitution and has not strayed far from Nepali society.

The club is going to be changed to a new look for internal decoration. New seating arrangements have been made. Kunwar clarified that there are plans to change the light, music system and the whole interior design.

‘We are moving forward with how to market LOD more and more in the international market,’ he added. ‘We are also planning to organize big events by bringing together national and international artists. The way we welcome customers and guests will be made more effective.’
