Lions Clubs International District 325R Nepal’s third general convention concludes, new leadership elected

Kathmandu. The third general convention of Lions Clubs International District 325 R Nepal, which is continuously active in social service, has been concluded in Sauraha, Chitwan.

This general convention, which was attended by about 1,400 delegates, has not only developed leadership within the organization but also made important decisions for international representation.

The general convention has unanimously approved Lion DK Dhungana, who was honored as the best district governor in 2015 and 2016 and is also the outgoing central president of the private school organization PABSON, as the candidate for the post of international director of Lions International.

During the general convention A new leadership has also been elected for the Lion year 2025/26. Lion Nawaraj Sapkota has been elected as the District Governor, Lion Prabhakar Pandit as the First Vice District Governor, and Lion Dipendra Khatiwada as the Second Vice District Governor.

The newly elected District Governor Sapkota has appointed Lion Dr. Ganga Sapkota has been nominated as the District Secretary and Lion Bikash Poudel as the District Treasurer.

The program was chaired by Lion Dinanath Neupane, District Governor of Lions International District 325R, and Lion Sanjay Khaitan, former Director of Lions International, was present as the chief guest.

The Lions Club has been making significant contributions in the fields of education, health, environmental protection and blindness prevention in Nepal. In addition, the organization has been playing a leading role in social responsibility due to its active presence even during natural disasters and calamities.

The third general convention held in Sauraha has clearly shown that Lions have taken a stronger step on the path of service spirit, leadership development, and international coordination.
