Kathmandu. President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Chandra Prasad Dhakal has said that the investment of funds including Citizen Investment Fund, Provident Fund and others should be used in the productive sector and employment generation. Speaking at the 35th anniversary program of the Citizen Investment Fund in Kathmandu on Monday, he said that the fund’s focus should be on that work.
President Dhakal informed that the investment of funds including Citizen Investment Fund, Provident Fund, Social Security Fund and others should be used in infrastructure construction, employment creation, tourism promotion, hydropower and other sectors.
He said that more than 52 percent of the funds are in the form of fixed deposits in banks and financial institutions and it should be used in the areas of employment creation, development and construction. Chairman Dhakal suggested that the accumulated funds should be invested in development, productive sectors, and employment creation.
