Kathmandu. The newly elected office bearers of the Private and Residential School Operators’ Association (National PABSON) have taken office. They took office at the central office in Kupandol, Lalitpur on Friday.
The general convention held in Birgunj, Parsa, had elected Geeta Rana as the president of National PABSON. The new working committee including President Rana took office today. While taking office, President Rana said that she would prioritize the rights and interests of private schools and make teaching and learning easier by collaborating with the government. She informed that the need for private schools is a need for society and the country and that she would work one step ahead. She said that she would emphasize that private schools should be operated in a smooth manner. She made it clear that no one should do anything that would jeopardize the future of the students.
The general convention elected Gyanendra Mohan Bhattarai, Surya Bahadur Adhikari, Brijendra Mishra, Subodh Dangi and Kamal Bahadur Singh as senior vice-presidents. Tilak Bahadur Chauhan, Kumar Bahadur Bhattarai, Dambar Bahadur Karki, Kusum Ranabhat, Krishna Kumar Upreti, Dharmaraj Regmi and Dr. Nandan Yadav as vice-presidents. Pratap Bahadur Thapa as general secretary and Kuber Basnet as treasurer.
Krishna Prasad Poudel and Bamdev Neupane as deputy general secretaries. Mahendra Pun and Shiv Dutt Tiwari as co-treasurers. Ali Mohammad Ansari, Raju Rokaya, Raju Pandey, Vikram Dhukuchhu, Prakash Gaire, Indradev Shah, Sant Bahadur Tamang, Chudamani Budhathoki, Shyam Bahadur Kunwar and Tenji Bhotia have been elected as central secretaries. The members are Ram Prasad Adhikari, Kashinath Koirala, Ram Prasad Pandey, Rabin Prasad Poudel, Chandra Narayan Mandal, Raj Karki, Ram Krishna Bik, Metibul Rain, Shyam Parki (Kauni), Yubaraj Shahi, Gayatri Rana, Khemraj Koirala, Sita Chaudhary, Ram Babuprasad Kushwaha, Ramesh Adhikari, Nita Shrestha, Ram Babu Singh Koiri, E. Binay Shrestha, Narayan Prasad Dhakal, Rajeshwor Tiwari, Naresh Acharya and Jit Bahadur KC have been selected.
