Kathmandu. The Nepali Congress parliamentary party meeting has demanded that the upcoming federal election be held before the local level elections. In the meeting of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party held at the Parliament House on Friday, the lawmakers have demanded that necessary arrangements be made to hold the upcoming federal election before the local level elections.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Nepali Congress Chief Whip Shyam Kumar Ghimire said that the lawmakers have strongly demanded that arrangements be made to hold a general election before the local level elections.
He informed that the lawmakers have finished speaking today, but since ministers and party officials are yet to speak, the parliamentary party meeting will be held again on the 24th. He said that in the meeting, the MPs raised the ordinance brought by the government and the issues of development and construction in their area.
He said that the MPs of the respective districts also expressed their views about the Pathibhara cable car in the meeting.
