Sankhuwasabha. The road along the North-South Koshi Highway has been blocked in Makal and Bhotkhola rural municipalities of Sankhuwasabha. The landslide that occurred along with the continuous rain has blocked the Khandbari-Kimathanka section in Dharmadwar, Makalu Rural Municipality-3.
A landslide that occurred along with the rain on Wednesday night washed away the road in the Makalu (3) area under the Khandbari (Kimathanka section, disrupting traffic, informed Police Inspector Abhishek Shrestha of the District Police Office. According to him, due to the road blockage, vehicles going to Makalu (3 and 4 and Bhotkhola Rural Municipality have not been able to operate.
The North (South Koshi Road Project Office has stated that there is a problem in removing the landslide due to continuous rain in the upper area. Currently, traffic from the district headquarters Khandbari to Makalu and Bhotkhola is operating only up to Faxinda in Makalu Rural Municipality.
