Landslide blocks Bhotkhola section of Koshi Highway

Khandbari. The Bhotkhola section of Sankhuwasabha along the Koshi Highway has been blocked by a landslide.

The road was blocked after a landslide occurred in Makalu Rural Municipality-3, Alphatte this morning, informed Ram Kumar Lamichhane, Acting Chief of the District Police Office.

The landslide occurred when the flood in the Ekuwa River after overnight rain on Tuesday caused erosion. According to him, efforts are underway to clear the road by removing the landslide.
