Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSWP) President Rabi Lamichhane today met with Speaker Devraj Ghimire and submitted a petition for the lifting of his suspension as an MP. During the meeting held at Speaker Ghimire’s office in Singha Durbar, President Lamichhane submitted a petition for the lifting of the suspension to Speaker Ghimire.
President Lamichhane submitted a petition for the lifting of the suspension, citing the fact that he has been released from detention. Along with Speaker Lamichhane, Deputy Speaker Indira Rana, Acting President of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Dol Prasad Aryal, Deputy President Dr. Swarnim Wagle, Chief Whip Santosh Pariyar and other MPs met Speaker Ghimire.
The winter session of the federal parliament is starting today. Suspended MP Lamichhane has requested Speaker Ghimire to create an environment to pave the way for him to participate in the parliament meeting and fulfill the responsibilities of a legislator. Lamichhane, a member of the House of Representatives, was suspended from his post as an MP by the House of Representatives Secretariat on December 20.
