Kathmandu. Laxmi Steel, operating in Sunwal, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta West), has started paying the arrears for consuming electricity through dedicated and trunk lines.
Out of the arrears of Rs 237.9 million, Laxmi Steel paid the first installment of Rs 84.98 million on Friday, informed Suraj Regmi, Chief of Nepal Electricity Authority, Parasi Distribution Center. The industry will pay the arrears in 28 installments.
Similarly, another industry operating in Sunwal, Sarvottam Cement, has paid the second installment of the arrears. The industry, which had committed to paying the arrears in 28 installments, paid the second installment of Rs 37.63 million on Friday. The industry’s arrears are Rs. 119.6 million.
