Kathmandu. Former Managing Director of Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) Kulman Ghising has stressed the need to spread awareness about cleanliness in every household. He said this while speaking at the concluding ceremony of the six-month daily cleaning campaign organized in Kathmandu.
He said that not only the cleanliness campaign but now awareness-spreading programs should also be started. He said that after spreading awareness in the houses and cleaning, the litterers will also feel ashamed and will move towards cleaning.
Stating that the Buddhist region is expanding as a tourist destination and many hotels are gradually opening up, he said that tourists from Thamel and other places are getting attracted towards Buddhism, adding that the area is also suitable from tourism, environmental and cultural point of view.
