Rupandehi. Prime Minister and CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the selfish elements who said they would finish UML have failed and that there will be no break in the journey of prosperity and development.

Addressing an awareness rally organized by the Rupandehi District Committee of the CPN (UML) in Butwal today (Chait 29), Prime Minister Oli claimed that those who were trying to divide UML by domestic and foreign reactionary selfish elements, who were frightened by the journey of prosperity and development taken by UML, have failed. He said, “Those who say they will finish UML, make UML without KP Oli will not succeed. I will not live long, even after that, leaders stronger than me will come to the party. We ourselves draw the fate of this country’s development. Those who set fire to people’s houses and steal from shops and run away cannot do anything for revolution and change.”

He said that the current government is making all its efforts to strengthen the democratic republic brought about through the sacrificial struggle of the people, as the country was misruled and disordered during the monarchy and Panchayat era. He urged everyone to contribute to the current journey of prosperity and good governance despite the fact that reactionary elements, remembering their reign of misrule and tyranny in the past, tried to spread chaos and rumors to defame this system.

Stateing that it is futile to follow the principle of innate superiority in the modern era, he clarified that the current coalition government is determined to strengthen the democratic republic and accelerate the prosperity and development of the people. The country’s major parties, the Nepali Congress and the UML, formed the government to provide stability and change to the country, making it clear that this government (coalition) will last until the next election, saying, “This government will not even be shaken if it falls.”

Prime Minister Oli informed that during the government under his leadership, many development and technology plans and programs have been introduced in Lumbini, such as various highways, hospitals, international conference centers, meditation centers, and development of agricultural production areas.

In the assembly, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister and UML Vice-President Bishnu Prasad Poudel spoke about the initiatives taken under Prime Minister Oli’s leadership for prosperity and good governance. He stressed the need to move forward by cutting off the false propaganda that has been done to overshadow good works.
