Kathmandu. After repeated requests were ignored, the Kamathmadau Metropolitan City has removed the Kawadi collection center by using a dozer.
After six toll improvement committees and locals complained to the Kawadi City Municipality for the removal of the Kawadi collection center in KAMA-32, a dozer was deployed at the center today, informed KAMA Municipal Police Superintendent Dinesh Kumar Aryal.
According to Superintendent Aryal, the KAMA Municipal Police removed three Kawadi collection centers located from Chyasal Bridge to Balkumari Bridge area. “The dozer was used today after the KMC failed to remove the center in the residential area despite repeated notices,” said Superintendent Aryal.
Two workers of the Kawadi Collection Center had pelted the dozer with stones in protest against the demolition of the center by using a dozer. He also informed that the stone-pelters had been taken into custody. The locals had been urging the center to be removed, saying that it was disrupting the education of children and causing social insecurity.
