Kathmandu. Incessant rains since last Thursday have caused flooding and inundation across the country. After three consecutive days of rain, the country has been devastated by inundation, flooding and landslides.
This year, compared to the past, there has been an increase in disaster-related incidents due to excessive rainfall. Nepal is also suffering a lot of human and material losses. In the Kathmandu Valley, floods and inundation have claimed many lives after heavy rains. The Bagmati, Bishnumati, Hanumante, Nakkhu, and Balkhu rivers swept away citizens when they flooded.
Although many were rescued, some people have lost their lives. Floods entered settlements, shops, hotels, and schools along the river banks, disrupting normal life. Here are some photos of the Kathmandu Valley after the floods and inundation captured by photojournalists from News Agency Nepal.
