Jeep accident in Malarani, Arghakhanchi: 2 dead, two injured

Arghakhanchi. Two people have died and two others have been injured in a jeep accident in Malarani, Arghakhanchi. The jeep (single cab) number Lu2Cha 2990, which was heading from Lutipokhari to Khandaha on the Lutipokhari-Khandah inner road section of Malarani Rural Municipality-3, lost control and crashed this morning.

The jeep drivers of Malarani-4, 22-year-old Dilip Khanal and 21-year-old Balkrishna Rijal, died in the accident, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police Chakra Bahadur Malla, Chief of the District Police Office. Bhuvan Pokharel, 17, and Basanta Pokharel, 17, of Malarani-4, were injured in the accident.

The injured have been referred to Lumbini Provincial Hospital, Butwal for treatment. The jeep fell about 200 meters off the road and an investigation into the incident is underway, said District Police Office Chief Malla.
