Janakpurdham. The Janakpur Customs Office has collected Rs 342.87 million in revenue so far in the current fiscal year. According to the office, the annual target was to collect Rs 577.17 million revenue in the current fiscal year.
Customs Officer and Information Officer at the Office, RabinsLal Das, said that only 60.7 percent of the revenue has been collected so far as compared to the annual target of the current fiscal year. According to him, revenue of Rs 517.49 million was collected as compared to the same period last fiscal year.
Das informed that revenue of Rs 286.259 million has been collected from Jatahi, Rs 1.836 million from Bhadaria Chhoti Customs Point, Rs 2.295 million from Inaruwa Chhoti Customs Point and the rest from Janakpur Customs Office till Mid-April of the current fiscal year.
According to him, the office has decided 298 cases related to auction till mid-March of the current fiscal year. Of the 565 auction cases filed, 298 were disposed of and rs 15.62 million revenue was collected, according to the office.
The report value of the auction case was Rs 91.55 million. During this period, nine out of 11 cases of Janakpurdham Customs Office related to the auction of theft and smuggling have been decided.
Out of 417 cases of Armed Police Force, 201 have been decided while 88 out of 137 cases of Nepal Police have been disposed of.
Customs Officer das said that semi-ready garments, hardware related, tiles, coal, agricultural produce, pesticides for agriculture, food grains, vegetables, fruits, sports goods, stationery, and various industries, household items and other daily items were imported from Jatahi border point.
