Kathmandu. Actor Kedar Prasad Ghimire, popularly known as ‘Mangne Budha’ in the television series, has said that it is the responsibility of artists to pay taxes to the state.

At a press conference organized to release the first look of the film ‘Mangne Raja’ on Saturday, actor Ghimire said that artists should not shy away from fulfilling their responsibility for the prosperity of the country like professionals from other fields.

He said, “I have not forgotten my responsibility when there is talk of my remuneration. I pay the taxes to be paid to the state after receiving my salary, because we also need to show readiness and participation like other professionals in the development of the country. Only if we do not forget our responsibility, we can shock the concerned bodies to enrich the film sector. ”

Actor Ghimire had discussed about the responsibilities and facilities of the actors after there was talk of paying 6.1 million migrant workers in the film ‘Mangne Raja’. The film’s director Rishi Lamichhane said ghimire was paid based on his perseverance and market value.

Artist Ghimire may have made a demand, but we have invested in his popularity and the existence of the market. If the producer makes a profit from the investment made to him, then there is no room for anyone to object to it,” said Director Lamichhane.

He said that the story of a man who considers himself to be a king has been presented in the film ‘Mangne Raja’. The film also stars Barsha Shiwakoti, Wilson Bikram Rai, Aryan Sigdel, Pushkar Gurung, Shishir Wangdel and Sharda Giri. The film has been produced by Munal Ghimire. The movie ‘Mangne Raja’ will be released in Nepal and abroad from August 15. rss
