Jhapa. Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Devendra Dahal has said that it is necessary to link development with production. While inspecting roads in Jhapa’s Mechinagar area on Thursday, he said that every investment made in development should increase production and productivity.
“The state has been investing billions for development every year,” Minister Dahal said, “but it is also necessary to analyze whether the return on that investment is being received.” He expressed confidence that access to the road network would not only provide transportation facilities but also allow rural produce to reach the market easily and improve the living standards of local residents.
The government would prioritize projects that would strengthen the rural economy, help promote international trade, help bring products to the market, and benefit the large population. .
Noting that the government has been identifying and focusing on solving the problems of projects that have been stalled and are about to be implemented for a long time, Minister Dahal also said that it is necessary to complete the started and stalled projects rather than adding more projects.
Minister Dahal directed Shyam Kumar Yadav, Chief of the Road Division Office, Damak, to expedite the construction process of the bridge over the dried-up Ninda River, whose construction has been stalled.
