International Conference on Fire and Electrical Safety Technology to be held in Nepal on Chaitra 24 and 25

Kathmandu. An international conference and exhibition is to be organized in Nepal with the aim of reducing fire risk and promoting electronic security technology.

Asia Pacific Security Association (APSA) Nepal is preparing to organize the Fire Safety and Electronic Security International Conference 2025 at Hotel Yak & Yeti, Durbar Marg, on Chaitra 24 and 25.

According to APSA Nepal President Sunil Kumar, the conference will be attended by representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Urban Development, Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army, representatives from all 753 local level municipalities, industry leaders, and experts related to fire and electronic security. .

He informed that the conference is being organized with the aim of providing information on the latest technologies, trends and best practices in the field of fire prevention and electrical safety. Various international experts and keynote speakers are expected to participate in the conference.

According to the organizer, experts from 14 countries including China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Japan, Macau, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam will give their presentations at the conference.

The aim is to provide information on the latest advances in fire safety and electrical safety technologies through discussion sessions, paper presentations and technology exhibitions. According to the organizers, fire incidents in Nepal cause huge loss of life and property every year. The conference was organized after concluding that despite various efforts by the government and local levels, awareness-raising and the search for innovative solutions at the community level are still needed.

APSA Nepal Program Director Suresh Shrestha, National Federation of Rural Municipalities Nepal Executive Director Rajendra Kumar Pyakurel and others expressed their belief that this conference will be a guide in the study, research, policy formulation and technology transfer related to fire prevention and electrical safety in Nepal.

The conference will provide an opportunity to identify fire safety challenges, discuss their solutions, adopt the latest technologies and bring policymakers and practitioners together on one platform. The organizers have said that it is seen as an important milestone for the development of a safety strategy in Nepal.
