Janakpurdham. An interaction and training program has been completed among cooperative workers of Madhes Province on the operation of technology-based services and the use of software in cooperative organizations.
The program organized by FinX Cooperative Software Manufacturing Company Jinab Inc. Pvt. Ltd. in Janakpurdham on Friday was attended by the presidents, directors, and managers of more than 100 cooperative organizations of Madhes Province.
The program discussed the use of modern technology in cooperative organizations, the basis for selecting software, and the benefits of it.
Facilitating the interaction, cooperative expert Kiran Poudel provided training on the use of technology in cooperative organizations and the selection of appropriate software. He suggested that cooperative workers should look for features like cloud base, compatibility with the Cooperative Act, rules and standards, no need for third-party applications, ease of following the regulator’s instructions and reporting while choosing software.
Inaugurating the program, National Cooperative Federation Director Nathuni Yadav said that full compliance with the Cooperative Act and laws and emphasis on transparency should be placed on the development and expansion of cooperatives. Analyzing the role played by cooperatives in poverty alleviation, solving unemployment problems and economic development of the society, he also urged to remove negative sentiments towards cooperatives.
Vashudev Bhatta, officer of the Office of the Cooperative Registrar of Madhesh Province, said that the use of software would be of great help in eliminating problems in cooperatives and maintaining good governance.
In the program, President of the National Savings and Loan Cooperative Organization Ramnagina Raut, social worker Krishna Dixit and Chief Manager of Swastik Savings and Loan Cooperative Organization Binod Thapa also expressed their views on the cooperative sector.
The software service, which has been in operation under the name ‘FinX Cooperative Software’ since last Shrawan, currently has more than 500 The organizations are using it.
The software, which has been listed by fulfilling the criteria set by the ‘Procedure for the Use of Application Software in Cooperative Organizations-2081’ issued by the Office of the Koshi Province Cooperative Registrar, has new features including a detailed model related to the loan investment process, Go AML, Copomis, Pulse Monitoring, etc. in addition to core banking.
Similarly, the software has modern features such as QR code payment and checkout, mobile recharge through missed calls, money transfer from bank to cooperative and from cooperative to bank account, money transfer to wallets including eSewa Khalti and money transfer from wallet to cooperative account, ATM, e-tailer, etc.
