Tarahill Top Camping in Ghalekhar Sikles, known as Nepal’s first ecotourism trail, was very busy from 2051 BS to 2059 BS, and after it started to slow down recently, a campaign has been launched to attract tourists by reactivating it.

A one-year approval has been granted for site management. The sub-committee has to renew it annually.
Temporary structures have been constructed and put into operation for two camping sites, Machhapuchhre 2 and Madi 1, built in the Tara Hill Top area. The camping site was jointly inaugurated by Machhapuchhre Rural Municipality Chairman Min Bahadur Gurung, Vice Chairman Sita Adhikari, Ward Chairman of Madi 1 Devi Jung Gurung, Ward Chairman of Machhapuchhre 2 Ganesh Acharya, Sub-committee Chairman Pan Bahadur Tamang, among others.
The sub-committee has to renew it annually by paying the land rental fee and the registration fee of the concerned rural municipality to the ECAP office within the tasks assigned by the ECAP and the local level. The coordination meeting between Machhapuchhre and Madi Rural Municipality has also decided to coordinate further work in a tripartite manner between the two rural municipalities and ACAP to promote tourism in the Tara Hill Top area.
Tara Hill Top can be easily reached from Sikles, Parche, Khilang of Madi 1, Chipli and Taprang of Madi 6, and Thak Hill of Madi 7.
