Indian national arrested at airport with six kilos of marijuana

Kathmandu. Nepal Police have arrested a person with 6 kg 970 grams of marijuana from Tribhuvan International Airport.

The arrested person is 27-year-old Indian citizen Visak Viswanathan, said Airport Security Chief and Senior Superintendent of Police Somendrasingh Rathore.

He said, ‘He arrived in Nepal via Bangkok last night on a Thai Air flight and was arrested after marijuana was found in his luggage during the inspection.’ Viswanathan has been sent to the Narcotics Bureau in Koteshwor for further investigation.
