Imports worth Rs 1.145 trillion in 8 months, exports up 57.20 percent

Kathmandu. In the 8 months of the current year, imports have been worth 1145 billion 566.2 million 40 thousand rupees. Compared to the last fiscal year 2080/081, imports have increased by 11.20 percent. In the same period of the last fiscal year, imports were worth 1030 billion 222.99 million rupees.

Exports have increased sharply in the eight months. Up to Falgun of the current fiscal year, exports have been worth 158 billion 172.2 million 2 thousand rupees. This is 57.20 percent more than the same period of the last fiscal year. Such exports in the same period of the last fiscal year were worth 1617.4 million 45 thousand rupees.

The trade deficit during the review period has reached 987 billion 393.8 million 38 thousand rupees. In the same period last year, such a deficit was 929 billion 600 million 52 lakh 55 thousand rupees. As of Falgun, the total foreign trade is 1333 billion 7386 million 42 thousand rupees.

In the eight months of the current fiscal year, the government has collected revenue of 3160 billion 96 lakh 90 thousand rupees. The most imported items during the review period are petrol, diesel, gas, and soybean oil.
