Imports from Bangladesh are three billion, while exports are 270 million in eight months

Jhapa. In the eight months of the current fiscal year, goods worth Rs 2.96 billion have been imported from Bangladesh and goods worth Rs 276.854 billion have been exported to that country.

According to Subash Pandey, Chief of Nepal Transport and Warehouse Management Company Limited in Kakandbhitta, the highest amount of unprocessed jute worth Rs 1.6 billion has been imported from Bangladesh.

Similarly, other imported goods include batteries, poultry feed supplements, cosmetic items, hydrogen peroxide, jute yarn, electrical appliances, medicines, potatoes, paper, glass, food and beverage goods. .

A total of 236.258 crore rupees have been exported from Kakkadbhita. Herbs, household items and animal feed have also been exported to Bangladesh during the review period. Expressing concern over the inability to maintain a balance in bilateral trade, Chief Pandey said that this could be met through electricity exports.
