Kathmandu. Deputy Prime Minister Prakash Man Singh has called for more use of indigenous products.

He made the request while addressing a program of cement manufacturers association in Lalitpur on Monday. Stating that Nepal produces 2222 million metric tonnes of cement, he stressed the need for more use of domestic production.

Stating that the import-oriented economy could be controlled by increasing the use of domestic products, he said that the economy could also be taken in the right direction and imports could be controlled if the use of domestic products could be increased.

Deputy Prime Minister Singh said, “We have been producing 22 million metric tonnes of cement domestically when it comes to cement. For cost, using cement produced in one’s own country also promotes production rather than importing materials. It plays a significant role in controlling the import-oriented economy. We need to pay attention to this aspect and move forward. ’

Deputy Prime Minister Singh said nepal’s landscape is challenging.
