Kathmandu. Former Governor of Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) Chiranjibi Kumar Nepal has said that the growing wave of foreign employment and migration would naturally stop if there was proper development in the country. The former governor said this while addressing a program organized by Media International in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Stating that the exodus of human resources cannot be stopped only by regulation, he said there was a need to create stability, opportunities and a credible environment in the country.
Stating that millions of Nepalis are migrating every year imagining a beautiful life, he said the government should create an environment for them to return home.
“If we can develop within the country, we don’t have to stop anyone, they will come back on their own,” he said. No one in this world is going to stop. It is a group that has gone for their beautiful future. An atmosphere should be created in the country so that they can come back. When Rajiv Gandhi was the Prime Minister of India, the army there staged a coup. Later, india’s policy changed after India said that the government of India will protect you irrespective of the country’s citizens. Later, people of Indian origin around the world started looking towards India. This means that the country should also make a call, make policy changes and they should also adopt a policy that makes them feel love for the nation. ’
He said that the budget for the upcoming fiscal year is progressive compared to the past. According to former Governor Nepal, the budget has come to face the current situation in the country.
