Kathmandu. CPN (UML) leader Bishal Bhattai has said there was a need to review the constitution. Addressing the closing ceremony of the television programme ‘Sadgamaya Season 2’ in Kathmandu on Sunday, Leader Bhattai said that it has been a decade since the constitution was framed and it was necessary to review it.
Stating that there is a provision in the constitution itself that the constitution can be reviewed every 10 years, he said the political parties should take initiative for this. Leader Bhattai said that the political parties should take serious note of the criticism of the people and make necessary revision of the constitution.
“It has been more than a decade since the constitution was framed and the state was restructured. In this decade, we may have different perspectives on what are the specific flaws of the Constitution. But in a way, we have come to a conclusion. Our Constitution itself says that it should be reviewed every 10 years. The lion also looks back after walking eight or ten steps. He looks back even when he has no power to defeat him. We also made the best constitution. We have claimed that we have restructured the best state. However, there should be a review now. Looking back, we may not go into the basics, but the political parties must observe what the criticism of the people is. There are no two-thirds of those in the government. It doesn’t matter if those living outside increase it to two-thirds. If there is love and concern for the country, then it does not matter if those sitting in the opposition also amend the constitution by increasing it to two-thirds. ’
He also said that the opposition parties should support the needs of the nation and the people’s issues if the parties in the government do not have two-thirds majority. Speaking at the closing ceremony, journalist Tikaram Yatri said that he believed that the program has also been able to solve the problems and problems in the entire region of the country.
He said that the programme has been able to have a positive impact on the issues of climate change, not only today’s present but also future progress, progress and impact on the environmental sector. He said that the programme has been successful in making a positive impact on the political leadership as well as other development sectors.
