Kathmandu. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel has been discharged from the hospital. Minister Poudel was discharged after no damage was seen to his lungs and respiratory tract.
After a technical error in a hydrogen-filled balloon on Saturday caused a fire, Minister Poudel and Mayor Dhanraj Acharya of Pokhara Metropolitan Municipality suffered burns to 6 percent of their bodies, including their faces. Minister Poudel has been discharged from the hospital, but he will rest at home for a few days, said Poudel’s press advisor Bhuvan KC.
KC said, “The minister has been discharged from the hospital, he will rest at home for a few days and will return to regular work when his health improves.” The government has formed an 8-member investigation committee after Minister Poudel and Mayor Acharya, who were guests at the program, were burned.
