Kathmandu. Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the opposition to resume parliament without taking petty matters as ego. Addressing the National Assembly meeting on Monday, he made this request.
He said that the ordinances brought in the parliament have been approved by both houses as they are in accordance with the constitution. He said that the ordinances had to be brought as it was necessary to make laws to implement the constitution and make it prosperous. He stressed the need to strengthen the democratic republic established by the unity of all parties. He urged all parties to resume parliament in unity as the anti-republican activities taking place in the country and his visit to Thailand are the issues.
Prime Minister Oli informed that it would not be appropriate to discuss the dismissal of Nepal Electricity Authority Managing Director Kulman Ghising in parliament as the matter is pending in court. He said that arrangements should be made to ensure that political appointees, except those appointed by the Public Service Commission, automatically change after a change in government.
