Kathmandu. The Parliament has directed the government to initiate an investigation into the suspicious death of Prisha Sah, a student studying at the Kalinga Institute of Technology (KIIT) in Odisha, India, and to make arrangements to ensure the safety of other Nepali students abroad.
In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, Speaker Devraj Ghimire directed to conduct an investigation into what happened in this case.
‘The incident of one death after another of students who went abroad to study, seeing a bright future, is also a serious question related to the sensitivity and responsibility of the nation. “I direct the government to take a deep interest in this incident, find out the truth, initiate dialogue with the concerned parties and provide necessary legal assistance to the family,” said Speaker Ghimire.
He also directed to ensure the safety of other Nepali students abroad. While speaking at an emergency time in today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, the lawmakers drew the government’s attention to the Prisa Sah death case through Parliament.
Some time ago, Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal also died mysteriously at the same university. MPs say that after the same incident was repeated, the students studying there feel more unsafe.

Similarly, a demand for an investigation into the arrest of Resham Chaudhary, the patron of the Civil Liberation Party, has also been raised in Parliament.
MP Lalbir Chaudhary said that his party will leave the government if the government does not respond to the House on the issue of Resham Chaudhary’s arrest based on a fake letter from the Supreme Court. MP Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh accused Resham Chaudhary of being arrested as a government conspiracy.
MP Mahantha Thakur accused the state of discriminating against the citizens of Terai Madhesh. Similarly, he said that the citizens of Madhesh are being mistreated in public. MP Thakur said that Resham Chaudhary’s arrest is also another form of discrimination.
