Kathmandu. Today’s meeting of the House of Representatives has been adjourned for 15 minutes. As soon as Speaker Devraj Ghimire announced the start of the meeting, lawmakers from the main opposition parties, the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), the National Independent Party (RSWP), and the National Democratic Party (RPP), disrupted the meeting, demanding a response from the Prime Minister, as in previous meetings.
After the opposition party disrupted the meeting, lawmakers from the ruling party also stood up from their seats, putting pressure on the House to function. After that, Speaker Ghimire repeatedly urged both parties to take their seats and create an environment for the House to function. During the meeting, after both parties maintained their stance, Speaker Ghimire announced the adjournment of the meeting for 15 minutes.
