House of Representatives: Demand for free treatment for accident victims

Kathmandu. In today’s meeting of the House of Representatives, lawmakers have demanded that the state provide free treatment to road accident victims.

He also raised the issue of the bus accident that occurred in Kavrebhanjyang today in the parliament. Similarly, lawmaker Khatiwada demanded that the government, through the parliament, not make the national identity card mandatory for senior citizens and make arrangements to make national identity cards from the concerned municipality.

Similarly, lawmaker Devendra Poudel demanded free treatment to road accident victims. He suggested that road safety should be made effective and traffic rules should be strictly followed to reduce accidents.

MP Poudel said that it is unfortunate that the state does not have a ‘night vision’ helicopter to rescue the injured in night accidents. MP Gyan Bahadur Shahi raised the issue in Parliament that the government has not been able to appoint Chief Administrative Officers at most local levels and that some municipal employees have not been paid.

He objected to the fact that the financial equalization grant allocated to the local levels through the budget for the current fiscal year 2081/82 was cut after the half-yearly review.

MP Anita Devi raised the issue in Parliament that people’s representatives did not support employees. Similarly, he said that the government should play a role in resolving the dispute in the Pathibhara area.

MP Lalbir Chaudhary said that the number of people losing their lives and being injured due to wild animal attacks is increasing day by day and drew the attention of the concerned bodies to take initiatives to solve the problem. He said that wild animal attacks have increased in national parks, forest areas and the Indian border area.

MP Dr. Amresh Kumar Singh said that it is necessary to monitor and control the expressions on social media that create hostility between different religious communities and disrupt social harmony.
