Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party has said that it will continue its agitation until the home minister’s resignation and an inquiry committee is formed on the visit visa issue.
Chief Whip of The Rastriya Prajatantra Party Santosh Pariyar said this while talking to reporters after holding discussions with the chief whip and chief whip of Singha Durbar under the leadership of Speaker Devraj Ghimire on Friday.
He claimed that the responsibility was given to present the budget in the parliament on Thursday after realizing the constitutional responsibility according to the political party. They said they were firm on the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, the government’s reply and the formation of a high-level inquiry committee on the visit visa issue.
Stating that the House would move forward only after addressing their issues, Chief Whip Pariyar said that some new information and messages related to the case have been received and they would inform the House about them.
He said, “Yesterday, we realized the constitutional responsibility and realized that the responsibility was according to the political party and we brought the budget on May 15. On other issues, other opposition parties, including the RASTRP, are agitating. The issues of our movement have to be addressed. Only then will the House move forward. Only then will other things happen. We have recently received some new information, things related to events. We will also inform the House about that. We will continue our movement. Resignation, reply was needed, an inquiry committee had to be formed. ‘
The main opposition parties have been continuously disrupting parliament demanding the resignation of Home Minister Lekhak, saying that he was involved in the case of extorting lakhs of rupees from those going abroad on visit visas.
