Home Minister Lekhak claims, ‘I have no involvement in visit visa case, it is a planned attack on me’

Kathmandu. Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has claimed that he has no involvement in the visit visa and money recovery case. He made the claim while addressing a press conference at the Federal Parliament Building, New Baneshwor on Wednesday after he could not speak in the meeting of the House of Representatives.

Stating that the minister’s involvement in the investigation of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has been expressed in the publicity, news and social media, he said that he has no involvement in the matter.

He claimed that the views expressed through news and social media showing his involvement were untrue and wrong. He claimed that the attack was carried out in a planned and conspiratorial manner against him and the attack on him was politically motivated.

He also said that he felt that the attack on him was a conspiracy in the country and it was continuing.

He said, “The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has started an investigation into the matter and views have been expressed through various publicity, news and social media in such a way that the minister is involved. I would like to submit through you that my involvement in this matter has been expressed through the news and social media, this is untrue, it is wrong and I have no involvement in it. I have been attacked in a planned, conspiratorial manner against me. This attack is politically motivated. I feel that there is a conspiracy in the country and its process is going on. ‘

Although he was preparing to present his views in the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday and Wednesday, the parliament has been disrupted after the opposition party lawmakers protested. The opposition parties have demanded that the Home Minister should resign and cooperate in the investigation.
