Kathmandu. CPN (Maoist Center) Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey has said that there were serious errors by the government and the security apparatus during the Tinkune protest. Speaking at the State Affairs and Good Governance Committee meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, MP Pandey said this.
He also asked why the protesters were given the Tinkune area for the protest. He also demanded that the main planner of the chaotic protest be made public. He accused the current government of only going after the Electricity Authority and the Governor of the Nepal Rastra Bank rather than maintaining good governance in the country.
He also commented that the current government is being accused of only running after empty settings and asked what is the government’s plan to stop smuggling and overcome the disappointment among the people? He also drew the government’s attention to solving the problems of the protesting teachers, meter badge victims and cooperative victims.
He said, “The government is currently only focusing on the Governor of the Electricity Authority and the National Bank. Only now is there talk of setting. There is also talk of a few middlemen. Instead of maintaining good governance in the country and reducing the anger of the people, what has the government done instead of stopping smuggling? What is the government’s plan to address the frustration and anger among the people? Currently, there are protests by teachers, meter badge victims and cooperative victims. It will be difficult if they take a violent turn. What is the government’s opinion on this?’
He said that no movement should be taken lightly.
