Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City collects Rs 190 million in revenue in 6 months

Bagmati. Makawanpur’s Hetauda Sub-metropolitan City has collected more than 197.4 million rupees in revenue in the first six months of the fiscal year 2081/82.

According to Manoj Subedi, head of the sub-metropolitan city’s revenue branch, the sub-metropolitan city has collected 197.4 million rupees under various headings from Shrawan to Poush of the current fiscal year. This is 31.12 million more than the revenue collected in the same period of the previous fiscal year 2080/81.

In the first six months of the current fiscal year, 49.461 million was collected from property tax, 28.173 million from house maintenance tax, 27.665 million from map fee, 21.877 million from infrastructure service usage tax, 16.283 million from recommendation fee, 13.392 million from rental property tax, and 18.311 million from business tax, informed Mayor Subedi.

In the same period of the previous fiscal year 2080/81, the sub-metropolitan city had collected 16.6286 million in revenue. Chief Subedi says that the increase in revenue collection in the first six months of the current fiscal year is due to stricter collection of outstanding arrears, an increase in both tax rates and scope, mapping and documentation, and an increase in internal revenue sources.
