Hetauda Cement Industry resumes production after five months

Makawanpur. After about five months, the Hetauda Cement Industry has resumed cement production from today. It is reported that the cement production, which was stopped due to lack of electricity required for cement production in the industry, has resumed with the supply of electricity.

Acting General Manager of the industry, Naveen Kumar Karna, said that the industry requires eight megawatts of electricity daily to crush limestone. The 1,900 metric tons required by the industry are currently kept in reserve. Karna informed that preparations are underway to bring about four thousand metric tons of coal through the bidding process in the second phase.

The industry, established in Lamsure, Hetauda in 2033 BS, was inaugurated on Mangsir 26, 2043 BS. At that time, an investment of Rs 1.5 billion was made in the Hetauda industry. Currently, 195 people, including administration, trade division, accounting, storage, technical and labor employees, are getting permanent employment opportunities in the industry.

Although the industry has the capacity to produce 18,000 bags of cement daily, it is currently producing only 12,000 bags.
