Bagmati. The Hetauda cement industry has resumed operations after six months. After the maintenance of the industry’s machinery and the supply of raw materials, the preparation of limestone for cement production has begun since last Tuesday.
According to the acting general manager of the industry, Naveen Kumar Karna, cement production will begin in a day or two. The target is now to produce 600 quintals of cement daily. He stressed the need to purchase new equipment as the equipment installed in 2033 BS was worn out.
Regretting that it was impossible for the Nepal Electricity Authority to purchase new equipment when it was difficult to arrange electricity tariffs and salaries for employees, he expressed confidence that the government would help solve the problems of the industry.
