Surkhet. Herbal processing has started at the herbal processing center established in Dhalda, Bheri Municipality-1, Jajarkot. The work has started commercially with the completion of the building, whose construction began on 11th Jestha 2078 BS.
Currently, Timur is being processed from here, informed the head of the office, Bakhat Bahadur Saud. He said that out of the target of processing and sending thirty tons of Timur, four and a half tons have been purchased and processed so far.
‘In the first phase, the target is to collect and process Sugandhawal, Jatamsi and Timur.’ The company aims to bring and process herbs not only from Jajarkot but also from other districts,’ he said.
With the establishment of the processing center, it is expected to support the commercial production and marketing of herbs produced by local farmers. After the construction in Ratchaur, Bheri Municipality-1 and 3, which are connected to the Bheri Corridor, it has been possible to create employment at the local level and process and market herbs that go out of the district through the Bheri Corridor in the district. This has also excited local citizens.
Red mushrooms, Allo, Timur, Kakadsingo, Lokta, Katuki, Sugandhawal, Chiraito and Kaulo, Bojo, Kurilo, Gucci mushrooms, Padamachal, Tilyailo, Vishjara, Yarsagumba and Bhringiraj produced in the districts of Karnali Province have been exported to other parts of the country as well as China and India. Once the processing center is established, it will be processed here.
