Kathmandu. The government has decided to support the construction of Birethanti-Muktinath cable car. Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, in his budget speech presented in the joint house of the federal parliament, said the private sector would be encouraged in the construction of Birethanti-Muktinath cable car.
The cable car will have a capacity to carry at least 10,000 people per day and the cost of the cable car will be Rs 55 billion.
Arun Kumar Subedi, chairman of Muktinath Cable Car Pvt Ltd, has said that the cable car being built on EPCF model will be the first major project in Nepal and its length will be 80 kilometers.
According to Subedi, k&r engineering of India has agreed to invest Rs 44 billion for the construction of the cable car.
