Governor Poudel’s new note will be signed

Kathmandu. Economist Bishwanath Poudel has been appointed as the 18th Governor of The Rastra Bank. After a long tussle, the governor’s appointment is coming to a conclusion.

In the cabinet meeting held on Tuesday, the Governor’s Recommendation Committee recommended three names. Economist Bishwanath Poudel, Deputy Governor Nilam Dhungana and former Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai have been recommended for the first, second and third positions respectively.

If Poudel is appointed as the 18th Governor, then this will be the signature of Governor Poudel on the new note.
