Kathmandu. Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari has said that there has been an attack on the autonomy of the National Bank. Addressing a press conference at the bank on Friday, Governor Adhikari said that there has been a serious interference in the autonomy of the National Bank.
Governor Adhikari said, “In the second year of my tenure, there was an attack on the autonomy of the National Bank. I would like to thank the Supreme Court for helping to protect the autonomy of the bank. I would also like to remember the former governors and thank the media for their constructive role.”
Former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma had proposed to suspend Governor Adhikari.
