Government should fight consumer issues free of charge: MP Suwal

Kathmandu. Nepal Workers and Peasants Party MP Prem Suwal has said that the government should fight consumer cases free of charge. Speaking at the House of Representatives meeting on Monday, MP Suwal said this.

He also demanded that a mandatory bill be provided as it is not possible to file a complaint in the consumer court without a bill. He said that due to the lack of balanced development in the country, village settlements are being shifted to the provincial and federal capitals.

He also said that it is necessary to make a law that allows settlement only within the district and said that the new generation should be given proper education to make arrangements for the production of mobile and other technical devices within the country.

He said, “Since it is not possible to file a complaint in the consumer court without a bill, the government needs to take the initiative in the system of mandatory bill collection and payment. The government needs to fight the consumer’s case free of charge. Roads have reached the villages, mobile phones are in hand, but due to the lack of balanced development, village settlements are being shifted to the provincial and federal capitals. Mobile phones should not be repaired in Nepal.” It is necessary to educate the new generation to ensure balanced development of the country by making a law that allows migration only within the district and to manufacture mobile and other IT equipment in Nepal.
