Dang. Chief Minister of Lumbini Province Chet Narayan Acharya said the government was positive to protect the rights of community forest consumers.
Inaugurating the first council meeting of the Federation of Community Forest Users of Lumbini Province, Chief Minister Acharya said that the members of the Federation of Community Forest Users did not need to get carried away in emotions in the name of agitation.
Chief Minister Acharya said, “There is no need to get carried away by emotions. A solution emerges through talks. Efforts are being made to find a solution to the problem. The problem is that we will discuss and solve it together. The government is serious about the demand of community forest consumers. ’
Stating that individuals have been systematically increasing the distance between the government and the Federation of Community Forest Users, he said that one should be aware of such tendencies.
Chaired by Kalpana Bhandari, chairperson of The Federation of Community Forest Users, the programme was attended by provincial assembly members of Lumbini province, representatives of the Ministry and representatives of the Federation of Community Forest Users.
