He said that the current situation of the Buffer Zone Development Committee is somewhat different and that the government is thinking of simplifying it by going into the regulations rather than changing the definition of the act through amendments and discussions with the amenders.

He said, ‘Most of the respected members have said that the provisions under Section 9 of the National Park and Buffer Zone Development should be simplified and made easier.’ The current situation of the Intermediate Zone Development Committee is slightly different. I think that with the amendments made by the esteemed members and our repeated discussions, we all agree that it can be simplified by going into the regulations rather than changing the definition of this act.’

‘The ministry is serious and positive about doing whatever can be done in the regulations to solve the problems seen now. The private residences, private lands, private houses inside the national park, and the problems that the regulations have caused for them to carry out their other activities commercially, the ministry is positive about how to facilitate them,’ he said.

The committee meeting discussed Sections 9 and 72 related to the Ministry of Forests and Environment regarding the bill to amend some Nepal Acts.
