Kathmandu. Private sector organizations including the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry have thanked the Government of Nepal, stating that the recently issued ordinances will enhance the investment and business environment in the country.
In the presence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Poudel, Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak and other ministers at the Prime Minister’s Residence, Baluwatar today, Federation President Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Confederation of Nepalese Industries President Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, Nepal Chamber of Commerce President Kamlesh Agrawal, and Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry President Bhagirath Sapkota said that the investment and business-related issues in the ordinances are welcome.
Private sector representatives have expressed their gratitude to the government for implementing these ordinances as they will be effective in boosting the economy after the COVID-19 pandemic. They demanded the introduction of regulations and procedures.
They said that the provisions of the ordinance will inject new life into the private sector and that if an investment-friendly environment is created in this way, it will contribute to the fulfillment of the national aspiration of a prosperous Nepal and happy Nepalis.
On the recommendation of the government, the President issued four different ordinances on December 29, while the ordinance related to land management is in the process of being issued soon.
In the program, Prime Minister Oli expressed his happiness that the government’s commitment to doing good work has been taken positively and clarified that despite the market rumors that the government is collapsing, the parties in the ruling coalition are taking effective steps to formulate policies to build the country. .
Prime Minister Oli said that the common people want development and good governance, apart from opposing it at any time for their own interests, as everyone has the feeling of building a country. He said that prosperity would not be impossible if practical and favorable policies related to good governance and development were brought.
